Description

Yummy and easy-to-make!

Ingredients

1 TBSP Extra Virgin Olive oil
4 large sweet onions - peeled and sliced thin(mandolin preferably)
1 tsp sea salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
1/4 cup white wine for deglazing
10 ounces beef consume
1 cup shredded Gruyere or Swiss cheese
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan
2 TBSP Worcestershire Sauce
8 ounce cream cheese
Serve with chips or crostini

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Preheat cast iron skillet over medium heat for 2 minutes.

Add the oil and let heat for 1 minute.

Add the onions, salt and pepper and stir and cook till onions have softened. (about 3 minutes)

Place the onions in the oven and let roast for 15 minutes or till a deep caramel color.

Remove skillet from the oven using oven mit.

Place back on stove on medium heat and deglaze with the white wine.

Careful to scrape up all the browned bits from the bottom.

Add the consume and heat through.

Real the skillet from the heat and stir in the remaining ingredients.

Stir till smooth.
